British Red Cross

Booz & Company’s London office has been supporting the British Red Cross (BRC) for more than three years as part of an ongoing strategic relationship between the two organisations.

As a key strategic adviser and partner to the BRC, Booz & Company has been working with the charity on a variety of projects, and at different levels of the organisation; Group Strategy, Governance, multiple projects, and systems improvement. The primary drive has been to support the BRC on a pro bono basis centred on time and materials.

Some sample projects have included:

A BRC-wide ’visioning’ initiative to try to articulate where the BRC will be in 2020
Supporting the BRC’s retail division in developing and implementing a commercial strategy, including recommendations on major capital investment in retail shops
Developing a new commercial training strategy
Reviewing the strategy and role of SAPE (safety at public events)
Helping prioritise investments in infrastructure and IT

Beyond project work, Booz & Company has also been active in supporting the BRC through sporting and social fundraising activities. In addition, the two organisations share training resources to better improve the training available to staff on both sides. Finally many Booz & Company London staff have volunteered to fundraise for the BRC, in shops and various other volunteer duties.

In 2009, Booz & Company was acknowledged with a Board Commendation award by the Board of the BRC. This is the highest honour a supporter can receive and Booz & Company was very proud to receive such a commendation.
