Case Studies

• Eastern European defence department: organisational transformation
  Booz & Company advised a Eastern European government on the development of modern armed forces capable of interoperating with and contributing to NATO operations. Working with local forces, our team carried out detailed analysis as part of the development of plans to transform training, logistics and personnel functions. The team is now in scope to implement the requirements. 
   
• Defence engineering and maintenance systems: scoping study
  Booz & Company assessed the adoption of a common engineering and maintenance (E&M) system for an Asia-Pacific defence force. The study included identifying common and unique functional requirements across the services
  
  Following this study, we were engaged to conduct the product life-cycle and common maintenance management system project to develop implementation options for a common PLM solution and a CMMS solution.
   
• Major global air force: headquarters re-engineering
  We were commissioned to assist a project to re-engineer many critical headquarters’ processes in order to improve effectiveness and efficiency. The team examined key processes across a range of areas including resource allocation, human resources strategy, policy development and coordination and information technology management. Services provided included work process analysis and redesign, and personnel skill definition.
