Andrew joined Proven Energy (www.provenenergy.com) in January 2007. His appointment coincided with the company raising expansion capital from a Low Carbon Initiative. Proven Energy develops and manufactures the world’s most robust wind turbines. With more than 1000 turbines installed worldwide, Proven Energy is a leader in the small wind turbine market. Installations range from the Belgian research station in Antarctica to a Sainsbury’s store in Greenwich. Other notable clients include BP and Shell.
After working at Booz & Company’s London office for 5 years, Andrew moved to CSFB in 1999 and in 2000 joined new research business, BoardEx, as COO. Over six years, he developed BoardEx into an online business development tool with offices in London, India and New York. “One of the reasons I joined Booz & Company was to work in small teams helping businesses succeed. The attraction of both BoardEx and Proven Energy was to grow a business more directly. Although renewable energy and business services are quite different, the challenges of rapid expansion and new markets are the same. The opportunity to lead a high growth business in the renewables sector is really exciting. The objective is to maintain our leadership and expand internationally as the market becomes more sophisticated and competitive. The raised profile of renewable energy and climate change is a great backdrop for taking the business to the next level.”
