Martha Turner is a New York-based Partner in Booz & Company’s Operations Practice with over 20 years of professional experience. During her tenure with the firm, she has worked across a variety of industries to deliver cost reductions, increase operational efficiency, and improve supply chain performance – with specific focus on consumer and media clients.
Mrs. Turner has developed deep expertise in strategic sourcing and led numerous major transformational efforts for a broad range of commodities, as well as experience in client sourcing capability assessments and training. She is a thought leader in developing cutting edge offerings such as ‘Fair Return’ cost-based sourcing, marketing and green sourcing. Mrs. Turner also has significant international consulting experience having supported clients in over a dozen countries spanning four continents.
Mrs. Turner is a core member of Booz & Company’s Operations and Consumer and Media Practices. She serves as co-leader of the North American sourcing capabilities team and the Operations Practice lead for supply chain sustainability. She has held numerous institutional roles, including the People Partner and Principal Development Committee for the Operations Practice. Mrs. Turner is also a recipient of the firm’s prestigious Professional Excellence Award.
Prior to joining Booz & Company, Mrs. Turner was a research engineer at the Guidance & Control Branch of NASA’s Langley Research Center. Mrs. Turner received her MBA from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia (UVA) on full merit-based scholarship. She also holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from The Catholic University of America and earned a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Draper Fellow.
