Jack is a Partner in Booz & Company’s Financial Services practice, with over 20 years of combined experience as a retail and commercial banking executive and as a consulting advisor to leading global and domestic financial services companies. His particular areas of specialization are in strategy development and execution, customer experience, customer analytics and insights, and innovation. He has served numerous global and domestic financial services companies across banking, payments, brokerage, capital markets and insurance. Some representative examples of his experience include:

  • Corporate Portfolio Strategy for the Board of a large international banking institution, including the identification of both acquisition and divestiture opportunities to drive shareholder value
  • Capabilities Driven Strategy development for the CEO of a large US banking organization, followed by the subsequent enterprise-wide implementation program to align the bank’s operating model with its strategic objectives
  • Development of a five-year strategic roadmap and the subsequent global strategy roll-out for an international payment solutions company, focused on leveraging existing capabilities into both existing and new emerging markets
  • Innovation-driven growth initiative for a major US lending organization, focused on identifying key adjacencies and building the capabilities system to successfully enter these areas with new and disruptive product offerings

Prior to joining Booz & Company, Jack was with The Boston Consulting Group and also held senior executive roles within the financial services industry. His bank management experience includes roles as the head of banking strategy for Capital One Financial Corporation, where he helped to lead the organization’s transformation from a mono-line credit card issuer into a diversified banking institution; Chief Financial Officer of a bank holding company focused on acquiring and restructuring troubled community banks; and co-founder of an internet banking start-up focused on socially conscious, environmental, and philanthropic endeavors.

Jack is a graduate of the University of Chicago’s Graduate School of Business, where he obtained his MBA with honors with concentrations in finance and strategic management. He received his undergraduate degree from Marshall University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a concentration in finance.
