DeAnne Aguirre is a San Francisco-based Senior Partner and one of Booz & Company's foremost organization effectiveness and change leadership experts. In addition to San Francisco, she has been based in the firm’s New York and Sao Paulo, Brazil, offices.

Ms. Aguirre’s key areas of expertise are:

  • Executive Leadership Alignment
  • Strategic Change Leadership
  • Operating Models including Shared Services, Corporate Center and Business Unit Models
  • Human Resources

Most recently, Ms. Aguirre has led transformations in three global and two US-based companies. Each effort incorporated a strong-form project management office focused on integration across work streams, project plan, budget, resources, success metrics development and tracking, strategic communications, and culture/change management.

Ms. Aguirre has served the largest emergency food relief non-profit organization in transforming all parts of its business, from donor acquisition and retention through delivery of long-term, community-based development (including health care, food, water, housing, and education).

Ms. Aguirre also worked with an international apparel retail company that was experiencing an expanding international business. She helped align the company’s two-year-old executive leadership team to a new vision and operating model and developed numerous people transition strategies that were needed to effectively keep the business running while transforming the entire business model.

Ms. Aguirre’s client work also includes serving the largest US integrated health insurance and care delivery organization in transitioning its business to a new operating model across all major operating areas. The program’s scope included health plan operations, human resources, information technology, and financial functions. This organization’s change issues were extremely complex as they involved unions, medical care delivery, and health plan units.

An accomplished speaker and writer, Ms. Aguirre has contributed to numerous Booz & Company's thought leadership pieces, including the strategy+business articles “Security Grounds the CEO Agenda” and “The 10 Principles of Change Management,” the strategy+business reader "Making Overhead Outperform: Ready, Willing, and Engaged - A Practical Guide for Sponsors of Change," "Shared Services: Management Fad or Real Value?," and "Navigating the Network - Communications That Create Lasting Change in Today's Dynamic World."

Ms. Aguirre served as a member of Booz & Company's Board of Directors and was the Chairperson for the Personnel Committee of the Board. She has previously served the firm as leader of its Organization and Change Leadership business and as its Chief Human Resources Officer.

Ms. Aguirre holds an MS in business management from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and graduated summa cum laude with a BS in mathematics and computer science from Fort Hays State University. She serves on the Stanford Sloan Advisory Board, Center for Work/Life Policy Task Force, and the Western Region Catalyst Advisory Board.

An avid sports fan, Ms. Aguirre enthusiastically supports her four daughters' competitive basketball and soccer teams.
