David S. Levy, a New York-based Partner of Booz & Company, serves clients in the life sciences and consumer products industries primarily on issues of growth and building capabilities to help drive growth. He has more than 13 years experience working with leading U.S., European, and Japanese pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, and nutrition companies.

David’s client engagements draw on his expertise in:

Some examples of David’s recent engagements include:

  • Development of corporate and product commercialization strategies for a new biotechnology company entering a monopolistic market
  • Re-design and implementation of a new product commercialization process, required analytics, and content for a global pharmaceutical company
  • Design and execution of a three-year global marketing excellence program for a top five global pharmaceutical company. Developed new approach, methods and analytics, processes, metrics, and training programs. Deployed through 20+ demonstration projects with brand teams and multiple training programs delivered to over 1,000 marketers globally
  • Development of a consumer-driven R&D portfolio strategy for the world’s leading nutrition company
  • Development of an organic growth strategy and activation plan for leading U.S.-based weight management company that sustained a double digit growth rate.

Since 2002, David has also worked with leading non-profits such as New Profit, Inc., Teach for America, and Management Leaders for Tomorrow. This work has focused on the development of a theory of social change model, board of directors re-design, organizational capacity building, and CEO advice.

Prior to joining Booz & Company, David was a partner at the Monitor Group, where most recently he was instrumental in helping to establish Monitor’s service offering in the life-sciences industry by helping clients build capabilities to achieve commercial excellence.

David holds a B.Arch. from Kansas State University, an M.S. from Cornell University and a D. Arch. from the University of Michigan.

Outside of work, David enjoys fly fishing and hiking in the Colorado Rockies, playing golf and preparing traditional Chinese cuisine.
