George Atalla

George Atalla is a Partner with Booz & Company, based in Cairo. He has advised Middle East government clients on economic policy setting, investment prioritization, and subsidies realignment. He has led large public-sector modernization initiatives that focused on public-private partnerships, outsourcing strategy, and organizational restructuring. His recent work includes energy pricing strategy to gradually reduce and subsequently eliminate government subsidies; sector strategies for manufacturing and agriculture; establishment of several public-private partnerships covering both infrastructure and service sectors; and restructuring of national ministries and government revenue agencies.

George received an MS from the Georgia Institute of Technology, an MS from Northwestern University, and an MBA from the George Washington University. He is fluent in English, Arabic, and French.
