Emirates Wildlife Society—Protecting Biodiversity
Since 2006, Booz & Company in the United Arab Emirates has supported the work of the Emirates Wildlife Society, a nongovernmental organization that operates in association with the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (EWS-WWF).
The EWS-WWF addresses such issues as protection of the area’s rich biodiversity, combating of climate change, and reduction of the UAE’s heavy ecological footprint. The group’s actions include conservation measures, education and awareness outreach activities, and policy. One of the organization’s flagship programs is Heroes of the UAE, an education and outreach campaign focused on conserving the emirates’ scarce energy and water resources.
Booz & Company has worked with EWS-WWF on a variety of strategy assignments, including development of the organization’s strategic mandate, which involved facilitation of workshops to create a vision, mission, and strategic imperatives for the organization’s future. Booz & Company has assisted in development of the WWF partnership and recently recommended ways to improve the partnership model and enhance the formal agreement between the two organizations.

Currently, Booz & Company is working with the EWS-WWF senior executive team to assist in reorganizing the EWS-WWF around core capabilities that will enable the development of institutional capacity that can support future growth in the program. We are proud to continue supporting the important work this organization does in the region. |
