Elizabeth Powers is a New York-based partner aligned to Booz & Company’s health practice. Her work focuses on managed markets strategy, including capability building, pharma/payer collaborations, contracting approaches, and organization design.

Her recent engagements include:

  • Leading multiple brand strategy projects, from product launch to late lifecycle in primary care and orphan disease areas
  • Innovative pharma/payer partnerships designed to co-create value through joint interventions targeted at significant unmet medical needs
  • Pharma reform strategies, shaping pharma’s engagement with both payers and providers as care delivery and payment model innovation continue to evolve

Her recent IC includes “Increasing Odds of Access for New Pharma Products” (In Vivo, 2009) and “Global Lessons for Controlling Healthcare Costs” (strategy+business, August 2011).

Elizabeth has been with Booz & Company for eleven years, starting as an associate in 2000 after graduating from business school. Prior to business school, she was the general manager/executive director for professional dance companies. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of Elsie K. Powell House in Old Chatham, NY.

She earned her MBA with a focus on finance and information strategy from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. She holds a BA from St. John’s College.
