Based in Sweden, Per-Ola Karlsson is a Booz & Company Senior Partner with more than 20 years of consulting experience in strategic, organizational, and restructuring services, particularly in the energy, automotive, industrial, and telecommunications sectors. He also actively serves private equity firms related to investments and portfolio company development. Per-Ola is the global leader of the firm’s organization, change, and leadership practice and advices clients across Europe and the Middle East on issues within this realm. He currently leads Booz & Company’s activities in Sweden and Finland and also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Booz & Company.

Some of his more recent experiences include:

Leading a number of large strategy-based transformation programs at North European utility, downstream oil, automotive and medical technology companies.
Conducting numerous corporate and business unit strategy engagements across several sectors
Leading the support of five post merger integration programs across a variety of sectors
Reorganizing the corporate center and business unit structure of several European and Middle East corporations
Supporting multiple investment companies in Europe and the Middle East on investment strategy and governance processes
Leading around 30 strategic due diligence assignments, including several vendor due diligences, for private equity firms

Prior to joining the firm, Per-Ola worked at the consulting firm McKinsey & Company. Per-Ola has an M.B.A. from INSEAD, France, an M.Sc. in systems engineering from Case Western Reserve University, USA, and an M.Sc. in engineering physics from the Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden.

Per-Ola has a strong passion for nature around the world and all it has to offer. He spends much of his free time in the Stockholm archipelago where he enjoys fishing, boating and other water sports with his family and friends.
