Michael Knott is a partner in the Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) Team in the London office of Booz & Company. Michael advises clients on strategy assignments and transformation programs.
Michael has over 15 years of deep expertise in the communications, media and technology markets. He has led a number of strategic and transformational initiatives – primarily in the fixed and mobile telecommunications space – across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Examples of Michael’s experience include:
- Mobile/convergent UKI operator: defining and delivering the CRM and billing strategies; CRM transformation programme design; CRM and 'centralised decisioning' implementation.
- UK wireline operator: worked with the client to better define, build, sell and manage their Corporate managed ICT solutions to global companies.
- Irish wireline operator: had responsibility for assisting with various strategic, CRM and broadband initiatives over a 10-year period.
- Swiss wireline operator: defined their wholesale strategy and organisation design.
- UK mobile operator: worked with the client to define the 3-year vision and transformation plan.
- UK technology company: developed a 'security' growth strategy.
- Global printer business: developed a European market entry strategy for the B2B market.
- Led the development of a joint mobile banking proposition in conjunction with the GSMA.
- Oversaw a variety of market assessment and commercial due diligence projects with a number of UK private equity companies.
Michael previously held a number of management positions at another major consultancy including Head of their CMT Strategy practice for Europe. Prior to that Michael worked as a manager at British Telecom and a consultant in a boutique marketing consulting firm.
Michael holds an MBA from London Business School and a MA in Economics from the University of Western Ontario.
