Matt Anderson is a Houston-based partner in Booz & Company’s consumer, media, and technology practice. He works with global technology, telecom, and e-commerce clients. Additionally, he has a background in energy with a focus in trading, markets, and utilities. Matt moved from energy into the technology and customer experience space as he helped utilities companies explore the connections between customer experience, smart homes and grids, and reducing electricity consumption.
Matt’s focus on customer experience, online strategy, social networks, e-tail, content and media strategy, and consumer cloud solutions has enabled his advising the largest e-tail companies in the world on how to transform and win in a dynamic environment.
Additionally, Matt has developed a methodology for strategic planning that enables companies to build strategies under environments of great uncertainty. This dynamic strategy capability empowers the organization to become a competitive intelligence engine that distills cutting edge information into decision-making criterion as part of a dynamic and ongoing strategic planning process. This dynamic strategy capability picks up where scenarios and war-gaming leave off, adding new elements of ongoing speed, flexibility, and agility in response to external factors.

Prior to joining Booz & Company, Matt was a senior leader at Katzenbach Partners, the pioneer and thought leader for dynamic strategy. Matt founded a fraud and risk analysis group in a major payments provider and has been an energy trader in crude and products and in IT/process transformation.
Matt is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania with a double major in international relations and economics. He has been a participant with the Aspen Institute.
