Based in Houston, Texas, Senior Partner Kenny Kurtzman leads Booz & Company’s technology and communications activity in North America and co-leads the firm’s Houston office. During the past twenty years, he has consulted with leading companies in the technology, communications, energy, and health care sectors in the U.S., Mexico, and Europe. He has served clients on such topics as corporate and business unit strategy, operations, sales and marketing performance, cultural change, leadership team effectiveness, and company turnarounds.

Prior to joining Booz & Company, Kenny was Managing Partner of the Texas Office for Katzenbach Partners and CEO of Ashford.com, a publicly traded Internet retailer of luxury goods. Kenny also held various officer positions with Compaq Computer Corporation, including Vice President and General Manager of Compaq.com, Division Vice President and General Manager of the Small and Medium Business Division, and Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategic Planning. Prior to Compaq, Kenny was a principal with McKinsey & Company, in Houston, Texas.

Kenny graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Rice University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics and spent one year studying economics on the C.D. Broad Fellowship at Trinity College, Cambridge University. He went on to earn a masters of business administration degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
