Justin Pettit is a New York-based partner of Booz & Company with nearly twenty years experience in corporate strategy, financial strategy, and mergers and acquisitions. His focus has been at the intersection of strategy, finance, and shareholder value, advising boards and senior executives on strategic alternatives, M&A, major capital decisions, risk management, and capital markets issues.

Justin is co-author of Merge Ahead: Mastering the Five Enduring Trends of Artful M&A (McGraw Hill 2009), and sole author of Strategic Corporate Finance: Applications in Valuation & Capital Structure (Wiley 2007). He has been published in over a dozen business journals, including Harvard Business Review, strategy + business, and The Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, and is a referee for The Journal of Quantitative Finance.

Some of his published work is available on the Social Science Research Network. Justin is also a guest lecturer for Advanced Corporate Finance classes at universities in the New York area.

Prior to joining Booz & Company, Justin was Head of Strategic Advisory with a global investment bank and before that, partner at a value management advisory boutique. He began his post-engineering career in capital markets (structured products) with a major investment bank.

Justin lives in Bronxville with his wife and three children, and spends weekends alternating between ice rinks to support his daughter’s budding Axel and his oldest boy's AAA schedule with the '98 Westchester Express.
