José Arias is a Partner in Booz & Company’s Madrid office. Aligned to the Communications, Media and Technology (CMT) Team, José has more than 15 years of consulting experience, including experience in the U.S., Europe and Latin American markets. He is primarily focused in Telecom and Media, but has also has exposure to electronic payments (cards), utilities and retail industries, in strategy, marketing, analytical approaches and operations improvement.
José has deep expertise in customer value enhancement analytics in large customer bases of different industries (Telecom; FS; Utilities), as well as growth strategies, marketing and S&D strategies, and operational improvement.
Recent engagement examples for mobile, fixed-line and broad-band players in Europe, Latin America and the US include: created customer value enhancement through analytics (churn strategy& implementation, analytical marketing); pricing strategies, distribution channels and commercial strategy redefinition, outsourcing of operations (customer service, network passive and active elements, etc.).
Prior to joining Booz & Company, José was a Senior Partner at Oliver Wyman, as well as a Manager at Bain & Co.
José earned his MBA from IESE – Kellogg (Northwestern University). He also holds a BA in Business Administration (with major in Finance and Investments) from the University of Barcelona.
