Gary L. Neilson is a Senior Partner based in Booz & Company's Chicago office. He is a member of Booz & Company's Board of Directors and Operating Council.

As the global leader for the firm's service offering on organizations, people and performance, Mr. Neilson works with Fortune 1000 companies on issues of business model transformation, organization model design, organization restructuring, and major change initiatives. He serves clients across all industries, including consumer products, retail, utilities, transportation, automotive, health, industrials, banking, and insurance. In his 25 years with the firm, he has served over 250 companies and public sector institutions on organization matters.

Mr. Neilson leads the global Booz & Company team that developed the Org DNA ideas and deploys the related "Organizing for Results" service offering, helping companies diagnose and solve the issues associated with ineffective organizations and strategy implementation. Harvard Business Review cited Org DNA on its HBR List of 20 "Breakthrough Ideas for 2005" in the context of "Everybody into the Gene Pool." The team's research base includes over 50,000 Org DNA profiles from more than 100 countries.

Mr. Neilson has received Booz & Company's Professional Excellence Award, which was given in recognition of outstanding and innovative client service on an assignment for Quest Diagnostics.

In addition to the 2005 book Results, Mr. Neilson has authored or co-authored over 25 articles on organization design and transformation, including "The Passive Aggressive Organization," which appeared in the October 2005 issue of Harvard Business Review.  He also has appeared on CNBC Power Lunch and ABC World News This Morning

Mr. Neilson has an MBA in Finance from Columbia, where he received the Wall Street Journal Award for highest academic achievement in Finance. He also holds a B.S. in Accounting from King's College, where he earned the S. Idris Ley Memorial Award for the Highest Academic Achievement in his graduating class.
