Dr. Edward Tse is Booz & Company’s Managing Partner for Greater China specializing in definition and implementation of business strategies, organizational effectiveness, as well as corporate transformation. One of the most experienced management consultants in China, he has assisted several hundred companies – both foreign and Chinese – on all aspects of businesses related to China and its integration with the rest of the world. He has actively worked with both private and public sector clients crossing different industries in Greater China.

A recognized thought leader, Dr. Tse has authored numerous articles and contributed to many Booz & Company studies, including "Buying Right in Asia - Successful M&As in a Challenging Market”, "Managing Discontinuities in China", "Developing a China Strategy that Delivers Results", and strategy+business magazine articles, such as “China’s Five Surprises” and “Context and Complexity.” A Chinese national, Dr. Tse is fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. His book “Direction”, published in 2007, is widely recognized as a leading management reference for Chinese enterprises.
Outside of Booz & Company, Dr. Tse is a long-time Business Strategy Expert for Chief Executive China and a member of the Consultative Editorial Board of Harvard Business Review Chinese Edition and a senior advisor to the mayor of Luwan District, Shanghai Municipality. Currently he serves as a board member for Baosteel, is Vice President and Professor at the Shanghai Institute of International Finance on a part time basis, and is also an advisory board member of Gridiron Capital Ltd.
Dr. Tse holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley where he received the Converse Prize for being the most outstanding graduate student. He also has a MS and BS in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
