Based in Madrid, David Suárez is Partner and Managing Director of Booz & Company Spain, holding responsibility for operations in Iberia. Mr. Suarez is a member of the global energy, chemicals, and utilities practice.
His primary functional expertise is concentrated in: large-scale transformation programs including mergers and acquisitions; organization, change, and performance management; and Human Capital Improvement
Examples of Mr. Suarez’s numerous assignments with the firm include the following:

Leading a large, multi-functional team in the multi-year transformation of a chemicals player in Europe that included acquisition and post-merger integration support as well as organic improvements across a number of areas

Developing the downstream strategy of a major oil and gas player in Iberia

Developing a European procurement improvement program for an oil and gas player.
Mr. Suárez has over ten years of consulting experience in the U.S., Middle East, Latin America, and Europe. Prior to joining Booz & Company, he worked at Deloitte Consulting and Dassault Systems.
Mr. Suárez has contributed to several publications including the articles “Change Management Graduates to the Boardroom” and “Change Management: Who is in charge?,” and the book The CFO as Deal Maker: Thought Leaders on M&A Success.
Mr. Suárez holds MS degrees in mechanical engineering and aero-astronautics from Stanford University. He also has an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid, where he is also Associate Professor of Strategy.
