Managing Director of Booz & Company for Global Markets and for South America, Senior Partner Ivan de Souza has significant experience in strategy and organization development for financial institutions and diversified conglomerates. Among his client engagements, Mr. de Souza has helped develop business strategies for leading retail and corporate banks, card companies, and wealth management organizations in Latin America. He has led the development of entry strategies for leading international players entering Latin America, advised large global banks in some of the largest acquisitions and post-merger integrations in the region and supported significant growth and transformation programs.
Mr. de Souza has also contributed to a number of Booz & Company studies focused on the unique business challenges facing the new multinationals from emerging markets going overseas and in the post-merger integration challenges for companies engaged in inorganic growth moves. Mr. de Souza co-authored "Setting Out To Conquer the World – Business Model Challenges and Lessons Learned in the Internationalization of Latin American Companies" and has contributed to different firm studies on senior leadership and governance.
Mr. de Souza holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
