Energy Producers and Consumers: Can We All Get Along?

Publish Date: June 15, 2007
Author(s): Turnbull, Andrew
Abstract: Energy markets do no produce the right signals for producers and
consumers, especially in relation to climate change. The real dialogue, is not between consumers and producers - Russia, USA and China are both - but between all countries as contributors to climate change. Only through dialogue can the free rider problem be solved and an agreement on burden sharing be achieved.
