growth without overheating, as well as his point of view on current sovereign debt issues facing the market.
Raghuram Rajan was the Chief Economist at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) from September 2003 until January 2007. He has thus far been the youngest person to hold the position.
In early 2007 Professor Rajan returned to the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago, where he is the Eric J. Gleacher Distinguished Service Professor of Finance.
An intellectual leader, Professor Rajan has published extensively, and in 2003 he earned the inaugural Fisher Black Prize, which is presented annually by the American Finance Association to independent financial researchers under the age of 40 who have made exemplary contributions to the theory and practice of finance.
In 2009 he joined Booz & Company as a Senior Advisor on Economics. In this role he will provide regular updates on the global macro-economy to the firm and our clients.
