ERP Turnaround for an Apparel Manufacturer
A global branded apparel manufacturer’s ERP program was failing to meet critical business needs. Despite three years of significant investment, the program failed to address the company’s inventory management and client service challenges. Furthermore, the program was in risk of falling behind schedule and over budget. Booz & Company worked with the client to restructure the program to focus on delivering capabilities to solve inventory and service level programs while reducing the program’s costs and risks.
The ERP program was restructured to address current pain points, build a future operating model and to enable the global manufacturing strategy. We examined the existing portfolio of legacy systems to identify where value could be rapidly captured with minimal system enhancements. Finally, we developed a new business case and implementation strategy that better aligned investments with critical business needs
