Booz & Company

Background:
INSEAD MBA, University of Sydney B. Sc. (Physics), Bachelor of Law (First Class)

Favorite Project:
Picchu and the Colca Canyon are not standard day trips from most client sites; however working high in the Andes (roughly 3000 meters) gave me the unique opportunity to explore the wonders of Peru as well as work in a fascinating environment supporting a performance improvement project in an open-cut copper mine. Baselining becomes all the more challenging when data is stored on handwritten cards! We were privileged to work closely with the management team to drive a fundamental change in the operating environment as well as the performance culture.

Why Booz & Company:
From the start it was the people–I met a very eclectic bunch during my interview process, but in different ways they were each inspirational and I knew I’d have a lot of fun working with them. The good news is my initially high expectations have not been let down, no matter where in the world I’ve worked with Booz & Company folk. For a travel-crazed Aussie, the opportunity to work across the U.S., South America, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Abu Dhabi, Norway, Finland, Greece, the Netherlands, and Scotland hasn’t gone astray either, although I must admit I’m enjoying spending more time in London these days.

Beyond Booz & Company:
I've always been attracted to extreme sports, not having much patience with the gym. Rock-climbing, skiing, and scuba-diving are the favorites. Climbing at Ralay Beach (Thailand) and diving in the Galapagos have to be the highlights. I’m also very involved in my church, St Stephen’s, Westbourne Park, spending most Sunday mornings teaching and having fun with a diverse set of 6- to 16-year-olds.
