  • Led strategic review for leading Australian confectionery business focused on improving competitiveness of consumer value proposition in chocolate and sugar categories across grocery and route channels
  • Led trade promotion effectiveness program for Australian division of global confectionery company, delivering substantial profitability improvement through developing segment specific customer offers, reducing trade spend and transforming sales-force capability and culture in both grocery and route sectors
  • Led the development of product restaging and relaunch process for leading category for Australia/New Zealand division of global confectionery
  • Led growth strategy and new operating model development for the “on premise” business of a leading Asia Pacific brewing and wine company
  • Led strategic review of the Australian division of a leading global dairy business including identifying opportunities to enhance growth and improve profitability through restructuring the product portfolio and refining the go to market strategy
  • Led development of advertising pricing strategy including developing yield analysis model for leading Asia Pacific television network
  • Extensive experience in leading growth strategy development and commercial due diligence studies across media, consumer products and industrial sectors. This includes assessing market attractiveness, competitive positioning, and opportunities for value creation, particularly in capturing new revenue and pricing gains.

A recognized thought leader, Simon has co-authored a number of industry-related articles, including “Strategic Due Diligence: A Foundation for M&A Success,” which appeared in strategy+business.

Prior to joining Booz & Company in 2006, Simon was a vice president at A.T. Kearney, where he led the strategy and organization practice in the Asia Pacific region. He holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School at the University of Melbourne, and a B.Sc. (Hons) from University of Melbourne.
