Background:

Favourite Project:
I had a great opportunity working on a market entry assessment for a multinational food and beverage company - looking into market sizing and a market entry strategy for emerging markets. The project involved a global team covering ten countries around the world. We were under immense time pressure, with steep learning curves about countries we had never before visited, and with a demanding job manager, these factors contributed to making this project one of the best for my personal development. While it was not all fun and games, my team of four was at various times based out of the Sydney office and hotels in Kuala Lumpur, Vietnam and Indonesia. This gave us a fantastic opportunity to travel and see the local sights whilst researching the markets.
Why Booz & Company:
When I first contacted my local Booz & Company office, I expected to hear a familiar local accent. Instead, my call was answered in posh British tones – I had reached the country manager for Malaysia as he was the only person based in Malaysia. I love the fact that I’m the second full time employee in Booz & Company’s Kuala Lumpur office. Our small office has a very entrepreneurial, start-up feel, while at the same time having the “safety net” of the connection with other ANZSEA and wider global offices. Open doors are the norm and I have direct access to both my country manager as well as the partner in charge of South East Asia – the benefits of being in a small office.
Beyond Booz & Company:
I love to travel as it combines so many new experiences – people, places, food, culture, language. I scuba dive whenever I can, and in my free time, I read, bake or hang out with friends.
