Favourite Project:
Working on a pro bono project with a charity that is focused on increasing employment among indigenous Australians. The charity was established one year previously with the aim of lobbying the government and leveraging its networks within corporate Australia, to increase indigenous employment rates and break the cycle of welfare dependency. The team undertook a review of the strategy one year on, and since then has been working closely with the charity to ensure targets are achieved. This project was a really rewarding experience and revealed the manifold challenges facing indigenous Australians.
Why Booz & Company:
I joined Booz & Company because of the people and the culture – there is great deal of humility among some very thoughtful and intelligent people. I also wanted to experience working across different industries and to travel it has been a great experience so far.
Beyond Booz & Company:
I love to be outside playing sport, cycling or walking. This year I have signed up for the 100km Oxfam trail-walker challenge with a team from Booz and hopefully I will make it! I also like to catch up with friends and try cuisine from around the world, which I find pretty easy in Melbourne.
